Denise Bertischi 1983, currently lives in Geneva, where she did her MA in Contemporary Artistic Pracices at Workmaster, HEAD – Genève. Her research-based practise often works with found text and imagery and explores the function of (visual) language within a contextual framework. She is interested in the notion of neutrality as a balancing act of the impossible. The void that opens up between the poles and the fictional character that neutrality plays in the construction of (Swiss) identity. The neutral as a space of dissapearance, silence and nothingness is explored in specific contextual situations. She works with installations including text works in combination with architectural structures, photography and fabrics.
