Forward Looking Statements
Thomas Kneubühler, 2014
HD Video, 4 min.
A conference call by investors of a planned iron mine provides the soundtrack for a ride over the land which the company wants to exploit. The land in question is a traditional hunting ground for the Inuit community of Aupaluk, located in Canada’s far North.
The term “forward looking statements” is used in the world of investors to describe future events which are subject to certain risks and uncertainties.

Ebb and Flow
Thomas Kneubühler, 2017
HD Video, 6 min.
The tide is low, the kids are out – and disappear. Shot in Aupaluk, Nunavik, and Plouha, Bretagne.

Green Dream
Maia Iotzova, 2015
HD Video, 50 min.
Green Dream is an author documentary that contemplates nature’s place within the city.
Maia Iotzova takes the viewer on a journey from the wild fields of Sofia, Bulgaria to the manicured parks of Vancouver, Canada and, finally, to a community-managed park (Le Champ des Possibles) in Montreal. Observing the cities where she has lived, the filmmaker tries to piece together the urban and the wild, two realities that have traditionally been seen as opposites.
Green Dream is also a film about maturing as a person and living with one’s roots spread between different cultures. The film takes some surprising turns as the author questions her own relationship with nature and searches for a sense of home in the fragmented experience of immigration.
